Balloon Care

These are simple tips to keep your balloon as long as possible:

Keep your balloons away from pointy or sharp edges.

Balloons expand in hot weather, so don’t leave them in a hot car, they will explode.

In cold weather, balloons contract and appear under inflated. Once they’re brought in from the cold, they’ll fill out.

If balloons get rained on and start to droop, don’t worry. Shake them off; they’ll float again when dry.

We use latex balloons made from 100% biodegradable, natural rubber. We always treat our latex balloons so they’ll float up to 10 times longer.

Foil balloons will float for 5-14 days, depending on the size. Although foil balloons are not biodegradable, they are reusable.

Foil balloons can conduct electricity if they come into contact with power lines. Make sure your foil balloons are always attached to a weight, and never release Mylar balloons.

To make balloons float, they’re filled with helium, a non-toxic, non-flammable gas that’s safe for the environment.

Don’t inhale the helium because it takes the place of the oxygen in your lungs, so you can’t get the oxygen you need.

Always supervise young children, and don’t allow them to play with deflated balloons.

Properly dispose of balloons. Cut balloons with scissors directly above the knot or sealing point and immediately place in trash containers
